Buick models are known for many things, including their high-end amenities and impeccable performance. They also come with extensive warranties. For even more peace of mind, you can get a Buick extended protection plan, which lengthens the coverage period on your warranties. Anderson Buick GMC of Abingdon explains what these warranties cover.
Built-In Warranty Coverage
All new Buick vehicles get two main warranties. The Bumper-to-Bumper Limited warranty is good for three years or 36,000 miles, whichever comes first, while the Powertrain Limited warranty stays in effect for five years or 60,000 miles.
You can also add extra peace of mind with the Buick extended protection plan, which can be extended to a maximum of eight years or 120,000 miles. It offers three coverage options:
- Powertrain: This base plan covers the engine, transmission, drive axles. It also covers the motor and battery for electric models.
- Silver: In addition to the components covered in the Powertrain plan, Silver also includes the front and rear suspension and the electrical, steering, and braking systems.
- Platinum: The Platinum plan further augments coverage by including your audio and navigation systems.
Additional Benefits
When you choose a Buick extended protection plan, you will also get access to emergency roadside assistance for things like a dead battery or flat tire or if you run out of gas. If a covered issue requires a tow, rental car expenses may also be covered. If your breakdown occurs more than 100 miles from your home, you may qualify for reimbursement of certain travel expenses.
